Art has been a constant thread throughout my life — from a school subject that genuinely lit me up, to something I've pursued seriously across decades, exploring different mediums and techniques along the way.

My work spans acrylic painting and soft pastels, with oils on the horizon — each medium brings something different, and I enjoy the variety. Subject-wise, landscapes are a particular passion, but I'm equally drawn to animals, birds, and the natural world more broadly. Much of my work is painted from photography — my own images, or photographs shared by friends and family. This connection to real places and real moments matters to me.

A background in photography — including a City & Guilds qualification, and years spent developing black and white prints in a darkroom — has shaped the way I see the world: light, composition, and atmosphere inform everything I put on canvas or paper.

Having recently stepped back from work, I'm now dedicating real time to what I love most — developing new work, deepening my skills, and taking on commissions. I'm an active member of both Tadworth Art Group and Epsom and Ewell Art Group, which keeps me learning, challenged, and connected to a wider creative community.

Wider travel and cultural experience — including seven years living in Hong Kong — has given me a particular appreciation for place, light, and the way surroundings carry meaning. That sense of paying attention to what's in front of you is what I try to bring to every piece.
